Gamo Hunter 440

Gamo Hunter 440 Break-Barrel Spring Air Rifle – Classic Wooden Stock Sporter

The Gamo Hunter 440 is a long-standing favourite and one of Gamo’s best-selling wooden-stock air rifles. This classic-styled break-barrel spring-piston model combines traditional looks with modern features, offering excellent value for target shooting, plinking and light pest control.

It features a high-grade beechwood stock with laser-engraved checkering on the grip and forearm for a secure hold, a raised Monte Carlo cheekpiece and a ventilated rubber recoil pad. The action delivers consistent full UK-legal power with a smooth cocking stroke, while the two-stage trigger and dual safety system (manual plus automatic cocking safety) provide reliable control.

TRUGLO fibre-optic open sights (adjustable rear) allow quick target acquisition straight from the box, and the 11 mm dovetail rail with Recoil Reducing Rail (RRR) technology protects scopes and maintains zero over repeated shots. A rifled steel barrel ensures good accuracy.

Weighing approximately 3 kg and measuring around 112 cm overall, the Hunter 440 is well-balanced and comfortable to carry. Available in .177 and .22 calibres, this Spanish-made classic remains popular after more than 20 years thanks to its solid performance, attractive finish and proven reliability – a capable, no-nonsense full-power springer that continues to impress.
